I began my fitness kickboxing journey in July 2024. I have lost weight, gained muscle, and recieved nutrition guidance. The instructors care about thier clients, modify exercises when needed, and encourage me when they know that I am slacking off. I can't wait to see what my 2025 fitness journey will bring! I encourage you to contact them. They do offer a free intro class!

Clean, safe, fun environment. Jason was beyond helpful and is a great coach. He can bring out the competitor in your child. Fair membership price. The students appear focused and driven. I have nothing but positive things to say about this place and all the coaches.

I do not do ratings. But these guys have earned my business and a lot more. . I’ve been in their fitness kickboxing course for a month now and it has already changed my life. What I needed to help me stick to a workout was accountability and community. The Mat Life Training Center overflows with it. They call it the Mat Life Family, and you feel it the moment you meet Kim Ann and Jason. You will see people at Mat Life who look like they just stepped out of The Octagon, and you will see people like me, who did not have a consistent workout routine in over a decade. You will see people of all ages and backgrounds having a great time getting fit while supporting and encouraging one another. I just can’t say enough good things about these guys. And I can feel my muscles again :)

If you're interested in training real martial arts in a comfortable and welcoming environment, this is where you want to be. The environment is kept clean and the equipment is well maintained. The coaches are knowledgeable and have great energy; they cultivate a very positive and ego-free gym culture. Highly recommended whether you're a beginner or experienced.

I have had the honor and privilege to have been associated with Mat Life for several years now. First training there myself with my son and then working and coaching as well. My son still trains in Muay Thai and BJJ several days a week.
The coaches are phenomenal. They take the time to break things down into easy to learn bits. They care about the athletes. It really is like a family.
As a police officer I would recommend this dojo to anyone who wants to learn defensive tactics or get in shape.

It is a perfect place to learn martial arts. The instructors are all professional and respectful. It is very difficult to be nice to everybody when the instructors are in the positions. The lessons are very challenging and serious, but still very fun! All the people in the academy are very friendly. I highly recommend this academy to literally everyone! You will overcome your age, health problems, etc! Of course, there are reasons to have 5/5stars in the review! There are also free trials for you!

This is a wonderful healing environment for anyone to get back to optimal health. They offer much more than just MMA. Come check them out!

I went in after a friend who attends global recommended them to me as I’ve practiced a few forms of marital arts in the past but haven’t stayed as focused as I used to be.
Jason and Jon are both great guys and welcomed me in. I felt very comfortable at global and took a Thursday night defense course with joe. He was super thorough with everything we did and made sure to be really careful with a past injury I’m still dealing with.
I’d highly recommend global to anyone who wants to train regardless of whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned vet who’s practiced for years. They teach multiple forms so there’s something for everyone.

Awesome group of guys, very welcoming when you visit and great instructors

Great attitude and atmosphere. 10/10 will go again

The team of people at Mat Life is great!! Everyone is so supportive and encouraging, like you're part of a family team. I've always had gym anxiety and have avoided going but this place makes me feel welcome and removes the self conscious feeling. Highly recommend on every level. Thanks Mat Life Fam!!

These people are wonderful! Stopped by and no jerks around here, good training partners and friendly, healthy environment. Was recommended by some friends and definitely would stop by again! Head instructor and his wife are really down to earth people, very generous with their knowledge and aren't trying to pressure you into anything. Had many technical questions and he went out of his way to show me around and share what he knew. Extensive background and strong lineage under Relson Gracie and Drysdale, and has black belts in Brazilian JiuJitsu, traditional Japanese Jiu Jitsu, and more which I can't recall. Very legitimate grappler for sure, blew my mind with little concepts and ideas, with an extensive background in wrestling. Really nice and genuine guy, and it shows with his students as well, who were all great and welcoming people. Can't say enough good things. Place was kept super clean and very tidy, and these were two different rooms and even a little gym, go take a look yourself! Working at a local a tournament, I observed his students at a local tournament and they were all very skilled for their respective levels and most importantly respectful to both the officials and their opponents. He is a coach who will back each and every one of his students, even if it means driving out several hours and spending the whole day. If you have any desire to start, this is a great place. You don't need any experience, and definitely don't need to get in shape beforehand. Martial arts get you in shape, and not the other way around.
