Mat Life Training Center Reviews

I strongly encourage people to come here. If you want to be put into the test and get out of your comfort zone, and at the same time have a nice experience getting to your goals, this is the place for you. Super friendly and goal oriented toward students.

It is a perfect place to learn martial arts. The instructors are all professional and respectful. It is very difficult to be nice to everybody when the instructors are in the positions. The lessons are very challenging and serious, but still very fun! All the people in the academy are very friendly. I highly recommend this academy to literally everyone! You will overcome your age, health problems, etc! Of course, there are reasons to have 5/5stars in the review! There are also free trials for you!

I went in after a friend who attends global recommended them to me as I’ve practiced a few forms of marital arts in the past but haven’t stayed as focused as I used to be.

Jason and Jon are both great guys and welcomed me in. I felt very comfortable at global and took a Thursday night defense course with joe. He was super thorough with everything we did and made sure to be really careful with a past injury I’m still dealing with.

I’d highly recommend global to anyone who wants to train regardless of whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned vet who’s practiced for years. They teach multiple forms so there’s something for everyone.

There’s a difference between paying for a service because someone offers it and receiving the benefit for said service. You don’t always get what you pay for because the ones selling it don’t believe in their product. What Mat Life Training offers is legit because they live it and they believe in it.

Martial Arts, and more specifically BJJ, is as much an art as it is, sport. Jason appreciates the art and instills the values necessary to learn the skills. This carries over into the other instructors as well. They all understand the value of the practice and the discipline.

MLT is a phenomenal place to train, learn, and obtain benefits that will carry over into many aspects of your life. Things like fortitude, respect, honor, and humility are all underpinnings of the environment you enter upon when training at MLT. Values that are often lost in modern society are upheld inside their walls. I’m grateful for Jason and Carly and their great staff for embracing us into their facility.

If you are thinking about calling them, don’t hesitate any longer. You have one life to live. Be your best and join Mat Life. You will not regret your decision.

The team of people at Mat Life is great!! Everyone is so supportive and encouraging, like you're part of a family team. I've always had gym anxiety and have avoided going but this place makes me feel welcome and removes the self conscious feeling. Highly recommend on every level. Thanks Mat Life Fam!!

Jason and Carly are more than teachers, they are leaders of character! The training they offer encompasses many different areas of martial arts, but also of health, fitness, mindfulness and a sense of community. The community of students is vast and very friendly, serious minded and conscientious. The Matlife family is all geared for the common growth and evolution of all participants. Thank you guys!

These people are wonderful! Stopped by and no jerks around here, good training partners and friendly, healthy environment. Was recommended by some friends and definitely would stop by again! Head instructor and his wife are really down to earth people, very generous with their knowledge and aren't trying to pressure you into anything. Had many technical questions and he went out of his way to show me around and share what he knew. Extensive background and strong lineage under Relson Gracie and Drysdale, and has black belts in Brazilian JiuJitsu, traditional Japanese Jiu Jitsu, and more which I can't recall. Very legitimate grappler for sure, blew my mind with little concepts and ideas, with an extensive background in wrestling. Really nice and genuine guy, and it shows with his students as well, who were all great and welcoming people. Can't say enough good things. Place was kept super clean and very tidy, and these were two different rooms and even a little gym, go take a look yourself! Working at a local a tournament, I observed his students at a local tournament and they were all very skilled for their respective levels and most importantly respectful to both the officials and their opponents. He is a coach who will back each and every one of his students, even if it means driving out several hours and spending the whole day. If you have any desire to start, this is a great place. You don't need any experience, and definitely don't need to get in shape beforehand. Martial arts get you in shape, and not the other way around.
